Welcome to my Pivot year!
In 2001 I was 18, deciding between restarauntuer or graphic designer as a career path. I pursued both. Design school at KU during the day, managing a pizza place at night. Traditional academia was too rigid and didn’t suit my creative spirit, but the restaurant sure did. So I went all in, eventually opening my own catering business in the Bay Area.
Years later, life threw a me a curvball. After a well fought and won battle with cancer, I stepped away from restaurants and took my many talents to the Cannabis industry. I wanted to help people looking for relief like I had been and help break the stigma around a taboo plant. Again I worked and learned everything I could about the product and it’s consumer until I became a business owner in the space.
It was a rewarding experience that taught me a lot, most importantly that it’s not the business ownership, but the product creation and design that kept drawing me toward entrepreneurship.
Now I’ve come full circle, back to my true passion of design and product management. Working with other impact focused business owners helping them create and launch the most dynamic user centered products possible. I offer a unique and innovative perspective, an empathetic approach, and an impressive work ethic.
